I appreciate your offer, I really do. But I’d hate to burden you with something like this, especially now that you’ve got a kid at home. She wanted me to look after you two…not the other way around.
No, no, it’s not a burden at all. I have to cook for Ren anyway, so it’s no extra work to add a bit of food. And I don’t know about you, but I could use someone to talk to about this. Besides, you’re her family, and she’s mine, so that kind of make you my family too.
To be honest, I’m barely holding up at all. I-I don’t know what to do anymore…I’m lost without her.
*Tentatively, Vic placed a hand on his arm.* Do you want to come back to my place? I can feed you and we can talk. Just- no one should be alone like this.
I’m just…*He sighed, running a hand through his sopping hair* Hell if I know. I just need to get out of that house. I can’t stand it anymore. I can’t…
I just found out. Today. I can’t believe it. How are you holding up?
It’s raining. In case you haven’t noticed.
I’ve noticed. Sometimes the rain is good for a change.
I’m just taking a walk and trying to clear my mind. What are you doing out here?
"Father is still working his way up through the Ministry. He has his eyes set on being Minister but I pray that doesn’t happen. Mother is still telling everyone what to do at her cleaning supplies empire. I think she might be expanding into other remedies as well." He smiled. “Mia’s great, at least she seems good. I heard she was dating some bartender or bouncer or something. Haven’t “officially" met him but he seems to be a good guy."
"Good for them. Though I’m not sure your father would be well suited for the position of Minister. Who knows, maybe some day our fathers will have to go head to head for the position. That would be interesting to see." She chuckled. "Oh, good for her. She deserves someone nice. Any idea what his name is?"
Well let me know if I can do anything.
"I will Warren. Thanks for offering." She smiled. "So how are things with your family? How are Mia and your parents?"
A stern expression appeared. “That’s not good. Would you like me to go look for her? Or at least put in an MW at the auror office?”
"No, no, that’s fine. I’ll just go to her house later and see if I can talk to her boyfriend…" She bit her lip. "It’s not like her to go this long without talking to me."
What’s that frown for?
Loraly… I haven’t seen or heard from her in about a month now.
They’re doing great. Mum and dad are still at Hogwarts and Frank is finally home, I really can’t complain.
That’s fabulous! Is your dad still teaching?
